Understanding the Challenge

Although the Oppo Electronics brand has good sales in China and Europe, it has had difficulty breaking into the North American market. The issue that plagued Oppo, was larger scale companies such as Apple and or other off-brand phone companies having a very loyal fanbase. They are not in a rising or falling position as other second tier companies, but they are lacking a way to market their new designs to North America.


Our Approach

If you look at oppo’s website you constantly see references to “young people” and how the product is one of the first of its kind, a phone that fully hides the bezels, a well known trend since 2017. We wanted to take advantage of this.

Execution: Creative individuals will relate to the artwork in the ad, "The creation of Adam". They understand the magnificence and the significance of it. Also, you will see on Oppo’s website that they like to mark their technological milestones on an historical timeline. So telling people that they can be a part of history by owning this phone allows them to feel that they fit on that timeline - that they are part of a significant change in history. People will receive the message that they can be the first to be on-trend within their social circle.
